The Unabomber was a mathematician. I’m sure this is a relatively well-known fact, but I didn’t know, and the math teacher mentioned it during class today. She said something like “see what math will do to you?” I was impressed by this. She was kidding, of course, but this is coming from a woman who has fallen completely in love with math. I’m pretty sure that’s all she needs in life, some good old non-Euclidian geometry, to keep her going. And, to tell the truth, that’s rather impressive. So good for her.

Gym class went well today. I’m happy about that.

I got my phone today, too. It’s like Starbucks, except I can carry it around all the time. Not that that makes sense to most people, but it does to me.

There’s a lot of stuff happening. Not good stuff or bad stuff, just a lot of things going on that I have to keep track of. It’s getting a bit overwhelming. For some reason I’m also not doing much. I plan out exactly how I’m going to manage to get done all that needs doing, and then I just don’t do it. This is probably going to become a problem later. But for now, at least, I can get by.

I want to go on the trip to Greece. There are about 4 spots left. I should have signed up earlier, when I could have easily gotten a spot. So often does this happen. Now the trick is to convince my parents to let me go before those spots are gone.
